Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Paw in Heart ("we", "us", "our") creates custom pet portraits from photographs you provide. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
The short version: we use your photo only to make your portrait. We delete uploaded photos 30 days after delivery (or sooner on request). We never sell your data, and we never use your photos to train AI models.
1. Who we are
Paw in Heart is operated by Beijing Dayou Jirui Media Co., Ltd., registered in Beijing, China (United Social Credit Code 91110105MAC52LQ013).
For any privacy question or request, contact us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Photos of your pet that you upload | To generate your portrait |
| Email address | To send your preview and final file, and to handle support requests |
| Order details (product tier, style, optional name and dates) | To produce the correct portrait and keep an order record |
| Payment information | Processed by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number. |
| Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) | To keep the site secure and understand what's working |
3. Your photos — how long we keep them
- Uploaded photos are stored only as long as needed to create and deliver your portrait.
- Photos are deleted from our storage 30 days after your order is delivered.
- You may request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will delete within 7 days and confirm in writing.
- We do not use customer photos to train, fine-tune or improve any AI model.
- We do not publish, share, resell or licence your photos or portraits to anyone, unless you give us written permission (for example, agreeing to feature your portrait in our gallery).
4. AI processing and third-party providers
Your portrait is created using AI image-generation services. To do this, your photo is transmitted to those providers solely for the purpose of generating your portrait, under contractual terms that prohibit them from using it for their own purposes.
We also share limited data with:
- Payment processors — to take payment and handle refunds. They receive your payment details and order amount, not your photos.
- Email delivery services — to send your preview and download link.
- Hosting and analytics providers — to run the site securely.
We do not sell personal data to anyone, ever.
5. Legal bases (for visitors in the EU/UK)
We process personal data on these bases: performance of a contract (creating and delivering your portrait), legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention), and consent (marketing emails, if you opt in). You may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data and photos
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
7. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. California residents may request to know, delete, or correct personal information, and may exercise these rights without discrimination. Use the contact address above.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep the site working (for example, remembering your order session) and, where permitted, basic analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are required for checkout to function.
9. Children
Our service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Data security
All traffic to this site is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to customer photos and order data is restricted to staff who need it to fulfil your order.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
